up front, the white lake mansion stands tall. no light behind the windows, except for one room on the first floor. you’re too cold to stand where you are. you walk towards the mansion. fast. you feel a presence. you look around, trying to see clearly under the blanket of fog. no one. soon, you end up running.
you climb the stairs, cross the porch and knock violently on the red wooden door.
